What am I doing here in this predicament?

Dear Ruth,

Why do I keep having dreams similar to this?

I'm standing in the lobby of a grand hotel wearing only my silk robe?

Not knowing how to get back to my room, I just stand there bewildered.

A man wearing hotel identification approached me asking if I needed help. Embarrassed I nodded yes and explained my situation. He turned around and found some clothes for me to wear.

Helen

Dear Helen,

My psychic interpretation of this dream is you are doing too many things at once and not preparing adequately.

The large hotel represents a place and time where you can go in many directions, but you're not clear about where you want to go.

My suggestion is that you go slower with your decisions and prepare with more forethought.

An Old Friend Comes in a Dream

Dear Ruth,

Last night I dreamt that an old friend in a crisis, called my wife about getting together with me ASAP.

When I was in my teens, he and I were friends, but after we both met our future wives, we lost touch with one another. Then about 20 years ago, I met him in a hardware store and we talked for a few minutes.

I haven't had any communication with him.
Suddenly he's in my dream with a crisis asking for me to meet him in a nearby coffee shop.

My dream ended when I got to the coffee shop and he wasn't there.
What does this dream mean?

Old Friend

Dear Old Friend,

This dream can be taken literally.

My first hunch is that he's in spirit, but has a concern on the physical level, and remembered how good a friend you were.

Second hunch is that he is dying and is reviewing his life.

I feel that this dream is only the beginning of contact with this friend and that you will have either a physical or spiritual encounter with your friend.

If you have another dream about him, ask what he needs from you. Do it if you can. If you can't complete his request, turn it over to God.

Let me know what happens.

Father's Face in Dreams Precedes Crisis

Dear Ruth,

Whenever I dream of my deceased father, something terrible happens within a few days.

I've grown fearful of seeing him in my dreams.

I will always love my father, but I don't want him to scare me any more.

Can you help me?

Loving Daughter

Dear Loving Daughter,

My hunch is that your father is trying to prepare you for what is about to happen, but neither you nor he knows how to do this.

The next time you have a scary dream with your father, ask him, "Why are you in my dream?"

Trust that you will hear the answer in your mind. Know that he loves you very much.

Then ask him, "Why me?"

Lastly ask him, "What do you want me to do?"

The answer will come through your thoughts.

When you hear the answer, sit quietly for a minute or two to contemplate if this is something you can do. If it is, do it as soon as possible.

If it is something you feel you cannot do, turn the request over to a higher power.

For example: "Dear God. I can't do what my father asks, but you can. Thank you."

Then trust and let go of your fears.

You have the beginnings of a medium and can do a lot of good.

Bless you.

Keep Dreaming About My Home Needing Repairs

Dear Ruth, I've had the same dream over and over for years about living in a house and needing to fix it.

First it had a big hole in the ceiling, then the floor needed to be replaced.

Through the years I repaired the walls, the windows, the basement, and the attic.
I've had this dream a hundred times and after 20 years, I think my house is finally in good shape.

What does this dream mean?
Dreamer

Dear Dreamer,

Two interpretations of your home needing repairs dream are:

1. the home represents your life, the roof your connection to a higher consciousness, the floor represents how well grounded you are.

2. the home represents your faith, what is broken that needs fixing and how far you've come.

Seems you've come a long way.

A Vision Brings Hope About Career Move

Dear Ruth,

It felt like a dream, but I was wide awake when I heard my grandfather say, "It's time for you to drive a six wheeler."

Was that really my grandfather, or am I making it up?

I always wanted to drive a big truck. I'm 20 years old. What do you think?

Six Wheeler Hopeful

Dear Six Wheeler Hopeful,

Intuitively I feel your vision was a true message from someone who loves you.

My hunch is that you're ready to make a career change:
  • you'll enjoy the freedom of not being under the thumb of your current boss...
  • and you'll like driving for a living versus working indoors...
  • it's a win-win suggestion.
What have you got to lose? Go for it.

A frightening dream or a message...

Dear Ruth,

I dreamed I was being followed by a beautiful woman who changed into a endrogenous person. I couldn't tell if she was a woman or a man. Then s/he (?) started urinating towards the back of my leg. I realized a woman couldn't do that, but I wasn't sure whether this person was a man or woman and why this was happening. Can you tell me what this dream means? Right now I'm scared because I think the dream means someone is following me.

Fearful

Dear Fearful,

Intuitively I feel this dream represents the three aspects of yourself:
  1. the beautiful woman is your spirit, close but not touching...
  2. the endrogenous person represents how divided you feel at this time...
  3. the bewilderment of how a woman can direct her urinating towards the back of your legs...

My hunch is that you are going through a major transition, similar to a midlife change. You don't know who or what you are... you're disconnected from your spirit, your female self, and you are being attacked (the urinating) by this confusion.
The only one who is stalking you is yourself and this is being caused by your confusion about what to do with the rest of your life.

Until you decide what to do, I sense this dream will come in many forms.

I recommend reading Dr. Stephen LaBerge book on Lucid Dreaming and learn how to
control and manipulate the outcome of your dreams, in order to harness the healing power of your unconscious.
